We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, IT and Security reporting to the CFO to lead and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity programs, and compliance initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, productivity, and availability of our systems and data. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach, technical expertise, and an understanding of ISO 27001 and other industry best practices. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

IT Infrastructure Management 

  • Manage and improve IT operations including Intune, Entra, Microsoft 365 services, VMware vSphere datacenter, IT ticket system, networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments. 

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and scaling of secure IT systems and services. 

  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service level agreements (SLAs). 

  • Ensure timely delivery of IT projects. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues and effectively communicate solutions (hardware / software / access / security / business applications). 

  • Responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage, deployment, and retirement of PC and other IT assets. 

Cybersecurity and Risk Management 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s cybersecurity strategy. 

  • Conduct regular assessments of risks relating to business operations.

  • Respond to security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities. 

  • Ensure secure access control, identity management, and encryption protocols. 

ISO 27001 & Compliance Management 

  • Lead and maintain ISO 27001 certification and ensure continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). 

  • Ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements (GDPR). 

  • Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits or assessments. 

  • First point of contact for customers and prospects for security assessments. 

  • Conduct security risk assessments of suppliers 

  • Promote security awareness across the organization through training and education. 

Strategic Planning and Leadership 

  • Develop and maintain IT and security roadmaps aligned with business goals. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security and IT best practices. 

  • Report on IT and security performance, KPIs, and incidents to leadership. 

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, regulations, trends, and threats. 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.  

  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT management and Security roles. 

  • Experience managing ISO 27001 certified environments is strongly preferred. 

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems, networking, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and security tools. 

  • Experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls, DLP, IAM, and other security solutions. 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally on complex projects.  

  • High attention to detail, with a strategic and analytical mindset. 

  • Ability to stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and techniques. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced company with the capability of balancing multiple priorities.  

    -Hands-on experience in administering: 

    -Cloud based Microsoft infrastructure (MS Office 365 admin portal, Intune, Entra) 

    -Windows servers 

    -Windows DNS 

    -Windows DHCP 

    -VMware vSphere (ESX hosts and vCenter) 

    -Microsoft Azure 

    -Back-up and recovery  

  • Fundamental knowledge of IP networking and switches (TCP/IP, routing, NAS) 

  • Certification(s) s in Microsoft, Azure or security are a plus 

  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus 

  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours to cover additional time zones and EU IT needs
